Spyker Squadron topped off a strong race at the Portimao circuit with an ninth place finish. The Spyker C8 Laviolette GT2R of Peter Dumbreck and Jeroen Bleekemolen had a trouble-free run for most the race, before problems with the power steering threw a spanner in the works.

For the second time in a row Spyker Squadron finished the Le Mans 24 Hours in the top 10. In the 78th edition of the famous endurance race the team overcame several serious problems and eventually finished the race in ninth place in the GT2 category.

At the halfway point of the Le Mans 24 Hours Spyker Squadron is twelfth in the GT2 category. After bad luck in the opening hours the team and the drivers picked up the threads again and are now fully back in the right rhythm.

After six hours of racing at Le Mans the Spyker C8 Laviolette GT2R is fifteenth in class. Two incidents in one lap meant the Spyker Squadron crew had a lot of work to do after just three hours of racing.

Spyker Squadron will start the 78th Le Mans 24 Hours in thirteenth position. In the first qualifying session on Thursday Jeroen Bleekemolen managed to improve his fastest lap time from Wednesday by posting a 4:04.057. Unfortunately traffic on his final flying lap cost him the chance to gain some additional places on the grid.

The first day of action at the Le Mans circuit was one of mixed feelings for Spyker Squadron. The team and drivers were happy to get into action today and were satisfied with the performance of the Spyker C8 Laviolette GT2R on the track, but were not satisfied with the outcome of the night qualifying session.

Spa-Francorchamps, May 9, 2010 - Spyker Squadron experienced a chaotic Le Mans dress rehearsal during the 1000 KM of Spa-Francorchamps. Having started from twelfth place Tom Coronel and Peter Dumbreck finished the race in a decent seventh place in the GT2 class.

Spa-Francorchamps, May 8, 2010 - Spyker Squadron will start tomorrow's 1000 KM of Spa-Francorchamps from twelfth place on the GT2 grid. Despite setting a lap time that was almost 3.5 seconds quicker than last year's qualifying time it was not enough to secure a top ten position.

Le Castellet, April 11, 2010 - Spyker Squadron had mixed feelings finishing the opening round of the Le Mans Series in eighth place. After Peter Dumbreck was hit by another GT2 car in the first hour of the race the team had to work hard to get the car back in the race. Chances of a decent finish were gone by then. In the remaining hours of the race the car improved and all three drivers set faster lap times.

Le Castellet, April 10, 2010 - Spyker Squadron will start the opening race of the Le Mans Series season from ninth in the GT2 class. Even though several other GT2 drivers improved Jeroen Bleekemolen's time the Dutch driver was satisfied with the result and the progress made by the team during the weekend.

Zeewolde, April 7, 2010 - Spyker Squadron will be back in the Le Mans Series for the sixth year in succession. The Dutch team will carry a brand new livery for the 2010 season, replacing the yellow and blue from recent years. Spyker will again compete in all five rounds of the Le Mans Series championship and in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June.

Although the team started this morning from ninth position on the fourteen car GT2 grid, both Jarek Janis and Tom Coronel fought their way to the front of the field to finish in a strong second place. It is the second time in a row that SNORAS Spyker Squadron finishes on the podium. In the previous round, the 1000 km of the Nurburgring, the team also finished in second place.

SNORAS Spyker Squadron driver Tom Coronel set the ninth quickest time for the fifth and last Le Mans Series round, the 1000 km of Silverstone. Dutchman Coronel was one of the first drivers to leave the pit lane. In sunny and mild conditions his times improved in each of the three hot laps he completed, but his time of 1:50.342 was unfortunately not translated into a front row starting position.

This weekend SNORAS Spyker Squadron will participate in their last Le Mans Series race this season; the 1000 km of Silverstone. Dutchman Tom Coronel and Czech Jarek Janis will again come in action in their blue and yellow Spyker C8 Laviolette GT2R and hope to score another podium after their 2nd place finish at the Nurburgring just three weeks ago.

SNORAS Spyker Squadron took a brilliant second place in the 1000 km of the Nurburgring this afternoon. Despite starting from the back of the grid Spyker regular drivers Jarek Janis (CZE) and Tom Coronel (NLD) secured for the second time a podium place in the German Le Mans Series round.

Disappointing end in great LMS 1000 km of the Algarve

Dutchman Tom Coronel started today's 1000 km race from the back of the grid as a result of missing the qualification yesterday. The team took their time to replace an engine that failed in the third and last free practice session and therefore missed qualifying. Although the SNORAS Spyker Squadron drivers Tom Coronel and Jarek Janis did really well in the race, less than an hour before the finish they had to give up due to an engine failure whilst running in fourth position and only 55 seconds behind the Ferrari F430 running in third.
