			<description><![CDATA[Nürburgring, 17 Augustus 2008 - After a long break in the Le Mans Series calendar, the last race was at Spa in May, the championship continued this weekend with the Nürburgring 1000 km. In the hard-fought race, the #85 SNORAS Spyker C8 Laviolette GT2R finished in fifth place.

Nürburgring, 16 Augustus 2008 - In sunny weather conditions SNORAS Spyker Squadron qualified seventh and ninth for tomorrows Nürburgring 1000 km race. Peter Dumbreck qualified the #85 SNORAS Spyker Squadron car and set a quickest time of 1:59.613, 1.7 seconds behind the GT2 pole position. Benjamin Leuenberger set a best of 2:00.132 in the #94 Speedy Racing Team Spyker.

			<title><![CDATA[VOLVO DELIVERS NEW TRUCKS FOR SPYKER SQUADRON]]></title>

9 august 2008 - Earlier this year Volvo Truck Nederland and Spyker
Squadron negotiated an agreement  for the use of two Volvo trucks until
the end of the 2010 race season. The trucks will be used to transport
the race trailers with the race cars of the SNORAS Spyker Squadron team
that races in the famous 24-hours of Le Mans and in the Le Mans Series.
Last Friday, at the Spyker Cars factory in Zeewolde, Spyker Squadron
took delivery of their two state of the art Volvo FH520 Trucks.<br />

Palanga, 19 July 2008 - In good weather conditions SNORAS Spyker Squadron started from pole position in the Baltic's biggest endurance race; the Omnitel 1000 km. The annual held race drew many thousands spectators to the top-class Lithuanian beach resort of Palanga for the 50-car grid with entrants from several Baltic countries.

Le Mans, 12 June – After yesterday’s action packed qualifying sessions, the teams got another chance today to further improve their race setup and qualifying times today. Like yesterday two two-hour session were scheduled and today’s goal was to finalise a satisfactionary setup for this weekend’s race.<br />

Besides completing the mandatory three night laps for each driver, the Dutch team continued to work on the setup of their cars for the race in the second two-hour session today. Although the #85 car with Peter Dumbreck behind the wheel did improve times their plans for a quick lap towards the end of the second session were abandoned due to a second code red.<br />

			<description><![CDATA[Both crews continued to work on a further refinement of the setup in a session dominated by accidents. The first qualifying session this evening, the third out of a total of four sessions, started at 19:00 in dry conditions. Just before the start a few showers caused the track to be wet but with the sun replacing the cloud and medium winds all cars went out on slicks.<br />

Another major step was taken yesterday in SNORAS Spyker Squadron’s road to Le Mans. Early in the morning both cars were transported by truck to the ‘Place des Jacobins’, downtown Le Mans, for the official ACO scruteneering. A large crowd gathered in the historical city centre to watch the administrative and technical checks from close distance.<br />

			<description><![CDATA[After last weeks weather drama the majority of time in the first session was spent on installation laps and setup of both cars. Alexei Vasiliev started in the #85 car before switching places with Ralf Kelleners after 40 minutes. The weather conditions in Le Mans are windy, dry and with 25 degrees at the begin of the session it was still warm. The crew closely monitored engine temperatures as well as the cockpit temperature which is set to a maximum of 32 degrees centigrade.<br />

The #85 car, driven by Peter Dumbreck started from a seventh position in class but currently runs in a fifth position.</span></p>

<p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; font: normal normal normal 12px/normal Helvetica; "><span style="letter-spacing: 0px; ">15:25 update: we have just had a yellow flag situation where both the Audi #1 and Peugeot #8 and the Spyker #85 were involved. In the double left-hander Ralf Kelleners was driving the Spyker C8 Laviolette GT2R. Ralf stayed on the right-side as he saw that he was being overtaken on the left side by the Audi driven by Capello. The Peugeot followed the Audi immediately and tried to overtake or out-brake the Audi from the slipstream.</span></p>

The weather was not comparable with the ‘normal’ Belgium Ardennes conditions that we have seen in so many races: this time the team’s Michelin intermediates  and wet tires were fortunately not of use this weekend as the skies were clear and the temperatures were in the mid-twenties.</span></p><p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; font: normal normal normal 12px/normal Helvetica; min-height: 14px; "><span style="letter-spacing: 0px; "></span></p>
